One PR tweak to boost AI visibility

How do we show up in AI answers?

That question blew up my inbox starting mid-July. Call it GEO or AEO or AI search visibility, whatever you like.

My go-to SEO — now SEO/GEO — firm gave my Inner Circle a full training on it earlier this month. Here’s one practical takeaway you can take now, no geeky/techie skills or backend access required.

The AI bots you’re trying to reach are searching for answers to questions about your category, market, or industry. Help them find YOU with these simple steps.

  1. Pick 2-3 superlatives you can stand behind. Maybe “popular,” “top-rated,” “newest,” and so on.
  2. Under each placement on your online newsroom or “In the News” page, write a 2-sentence summary in plain English that weaves in those superlatives and explains what you actually do.
    • “The article notes reasons our customers believe our supplements are among the best for women 40+.”
    • “Our VP of Research — quoted here — leads the team behind our top-rated immunity line.”
  3. Open ChatGPT or Google in an incognito or private browser, ask questions, and see if you appear.
  4. Repeat each week and track progress.

As one astute Inner Circle member put it, “Create owned content for each piece of your earned content.”

If superlatives make you squirm (hi former journalists ;), let’s be real — few humans actually read that page. Superlatives or not, it’s still worth adding summaries to every placement link.

Clear, consistent context is the love language of the AI crawlers you’re trying to reach.
