New FREE resource – stay home & skill up

I created a FREE, quick online certification course on media pitching. Conferences are all canceled, but you can still “skill up” while you work from home and see an immediate impact on your results. Plus add a valuable credential to your LinkedIn profile and resume.

I partnered with Muck Rack, the PR software company, to get it out to as many people as possible. Our vision is to help both PR people and journalists succeed, and this course is already doing that.

We did a soft launch last week (I wanted to make sure we had all the kinks worked out before I brought it to you here), and already 1,500 people have signed up!

My goal with this course was to make it fun – to make you want to keep watching, like when the “next episode” button comes up while you’re watching Netflix and you just keep going, even when you thought you were done.

It’s working. Here are some comments from people I don’t know that I pulled off social media:

“Just completed this course and it was really informative and enjoyable.” – Marina Sheridan

“Thanks to the super engaging course by Muck Rack and Michael Smart, I’m officially certified!” – Eddie Daniels

“Shout out to Muck Rack for the cert. Loved the course. Michael Smart was hilarious and smart.” – Remmington Belford

“Even with my 45+ years of media relations experience, I learned some new tricks. I totally encourage PR folks to take advantage of this course.” – Martin Cohn

Sign up for the course here. Then grab some Twizzlers and a drink and dig in.
