Missed any? My most-talked-about summer reads

In case you missed any while vacationing (or digging out after your return!), here are my most-talked-about newsletter items of the summer:

1. If you’re working with one eye on the TV, you’re underemployed – Half of the respondents loved it, half didn’t. Thanks to both groups for their thoughtful feedback (except not so much the two people who hated it so bad they resorted to personal attacks – weird).
2. Secret, real reasons PR pros “did not respond to a request for comment” – Many felt “seen” and gave enough great suggestions that it warranted a sequel.
3. This Axios piece is the most important PR article of the year – Was cool to hear from two readers who actually include this article when presenting PR plans to clients.

Bonus tip: I carefully prune my newsletter subscriptions, and even then there are only two that I find myself seeking out if I miss any: Scott Galloway (business, investing and social good) and Ben Thompson (business of tech).
